DAY 5. - BLACK SEA SWIMMING
Even though we had had enough of travelling, we decided to keep going and headed south to the city of Constanta, next to the Black Sea. 200kms seemed like breeze after what we had been through. By noon we were at the beach, chilling in the sea. After a nice swim we took the bikes and rode across the promenade to hunt for spots. Constanta had the same vibe as any typical Italian sea-side town.
There was everything you would expect on the seafront; all the food stands, souvenir shops, restaurants, all of it. In the last 5 days we transitioned through so many different atmospheres, and Constanta another experience in itself. After we came to the decision to there was nothing left to found on the promenade we headed into the city to look at spots we had seen driving.
Every street was packed with people, both young and old; everyone outside just chilling in the streets. I remember this scene from my childhood and even Alex agreed that when he was young it looked pretty much the same in The Czech Republic. The rest of the day was just spent riding trying to not get a puncture...because it was happening so often. Despite this struggle we still managed to film a few sweet clips.
Being tired we rode back to Bucharest knowing that there was tomorrow’s Street Jam ahead of us. It was the trip that every rider should definitely experience one day; five days of blasting through Romania meeting-up with friends, having fun and seeing new spots. This trip was not about pushing any boundaries but just having a fun road-trip with an amazing group of friends. Nothing compares to that.
