DAY 4. - BUCHAREST

After 3 days we finally reached the destination, and finally had a day of no driving. All excited we headed to the streets of this Romanian capital. Bucharest was a surprise to everyone because it was pretty nice. All except the crazy traffic situation which made moving around annoying.

Raul took us through the city and showed us the route for the upcoming streetjam, which was on the Saturday. We met up with local street legend, Alinem Moldavanem. A guy who we had met at all the European BMX events we had been to over the years. Both Alinem and Raul had been to one of the Czech Bike Hall contests before. Together we cruised the streets until dark, followed by beers at a restuarant. One valuable lesson we learned was not to ask to split the bill 6 ways; it just simply doesn’t work...and if it does then it takes hours.
