Jiri has switched his Subrosa Code setup for Joris Coulomb`s OM frame and obviously he`s enjoying it big time. For those who are strugling with what features are they supposed to focus on while getting their new frame, we`ve asked Jiri about his current ride and what were the main reasons leading him to go for a bit different geometry than he used to rock.
Jiri Blabol on what`s the main difference between Subrosa CODE and OM frame:
SUBROSA CODE - After a while of having the CODE frame I`ve found out it has kind of an oldschool style geometry. BB is a bit lower making it great for manuals and high speed riding as well as dropping down the big shit. A pure Kobza style. The only thing that was bugging me is the lower placed BB. You can`t do switch crooks or switch pegs as good as when your BB is higher from the ground.
SUBROSA OM - I`ve picked this one because there`s a lower head tube angle that lets you pop into nose wheelies easier and also gives you more space infront of your knees/feet, which is very handy with a short rear end OM frame has. Now I`m doing spins and over grind rotations way faster and easier, which i find satysfying. OM`s bottom bracket position is high enough to do switch all the switch grinds and that`s exactly what I needed.
