HANDLEBARS / BARS
There are two basic types of handlebars, 2-pc and 4-pc (2 piece, 4 piece). Most quality handlebars are made of butted and heat-treated 4130 chromoly. When choosing handlebars, don't forget to consider your body height, because the taller you are, the bigger handlebars you will need. Handlebars width is measured as a line between both bar ends (no curves).
Handlebars geometry:
Rise (height): min 8,25" for riders up to 165cm, min. 8,5" for riders up to 180cm, 8,75" and more for riders over 180cm
Width: 28"(71cm) and more. If you feel like your handlebars are too wide, you can cut off a piece at each bar end to achieve the desired width.
Upsweep: 1° and more.
Backsweep: 11° and more.
How do you measure the rise of your handlebars?
Using a ruler or tape measure, measure from the center of the stem clamping area to the center of the brake lever/grip area.
