LOST IN KRAKOWBy Tomas Carda | 20.01.2017

Full edit from the latest LOST IN BMX SERIES is finally here! This time we set of to explore the streets of Krakow, Poland. The crew consisted of Jiří Blábol, Víťa Kácha, Pavel Tenčík and Franta Maršálek, accompanied by the Monster energy rider street wizard Ben Lewis. Some real heavy moves in this along with a couple of dope photos from Milan Tykal. Enjoy!

Honestly I wasn`t expecting this trip to be anything special as Krakow isn`t far from Czech Republic and this time of the year there is not exotic weather at all. Although at the end we were all super excited and willing to visit Krakow again as soon as possible. But let`s take it from the beginning.

The weather forecast said it straight - Krakow - heavy rain all week. Not a very good information to start with. However, none of us felt bad about it and thought it will get bet better, it has to! Alhough on friday when we went on the road with the constant pouring getting worse as we were approaching Krakow, we all got a little sceptical.

Next morning we are looking outta window of our appartment and it doesn`t seem it`s gonna stop raining anytime soon. All we could do was waiting inside till it gets better while trying to check for some indoors or whatever dry spots to ride. Unfortunatelly Krakow is empty of such places and that blocked us at the appartment for rest of the day. Only Benny and Vita have sailed of to the streets for a quick and wet cruise around hungry to hit whatever they`ll find.

When we woke up next day to the heavy rain again, we knew there is now way we`re staying in all day again. When you are on a 7 day riding trip the last thing you want is to stay locked up at the hotel watching movies. We found out the nearest indoor skatepark is in Rzeszov, 150 kilometers away. When we arrived to the place 2 hours later, it was still raining.

None of us had a clue of what`s this place like and when we finally entered, we stood there amazed by staring at the huge concrete plaza covered with inflattable roof, the one you know from the tenis courses. You can barely see from one end to another and there`s everything you could ask for - boxes, bowl, hips, rails, benches, everything!  We were all super excited riding till late evening hours and arriving back to the hotel long after midnight.

It was no surprise when we woke up to another rainy day so we have quickly packed up and headed to Rzeszov again. Yesterday we filmed a couple of good clips there so we decided to make a little park mix just in case we wouldn`t get to ride street at all. Another dope session going down and at the end everyone is getting their clips returning to the base satisfied. The video from Rzeszov has been already released and you can watch it here.

Feeling like we have literally squezed the maximum out of those rainy days, the next morning we are getting rewarded with the clear sky and streets drying up. We are hitting up some locals and finally setting of to the streets. My good friend Hawold Peraldi has been living in Krakow for a while now so he becomes our guide for rest of the trip.

As we were cruising through Krakow I have quickly realized it is completely flat, nice and clean looking town that smells of spots on every corner. The only thing you may be struggling with is a bit bussy traffic and dodging the cars all the time, but you`ll get quickly used to it while sticking your eyes on countless spots Krakow has to offer. Even though we only got to ride street for two days and saw hardly a half of the city, we rode some great spots and felt like Krakow has a lot to offer.

Krakow is a city of students and by the dust streets are becoming crowded with young people going to party in one of the countless pubs and clubs around. Partying with guys from local BMX crew "EJ STARY MIAZGA" was just hilarious and the amount of consumed vodka definitelly left some scratches on our brains. Until next time homies!

This historical town showed us it`s frinedly face and we will be all happy to come back. Hopefully next time with slightly better weather conditions, so we can enjoy Poland`s most beatifull town Krakow to the fullest.
